Insurance Claims
Murfreesboro, Nashville, and Middle Tennessee
Whether you’re a homeowner or a commercial business, incidents with structures or equipment can be remedied (or funded) through insurance.
An insurance claim is one way to fund fixing equipment or structures. People often don’t know this is an option. In some circumstances with immovable things (i.e structural, massive machines, large equipment, and some emergency roadside situations), leveraging insurance and repairing the issue quickly could be the best option.
LucasMWF has a variety of experience in insurance claims in industries like automotive manufacturing, heavy trucking, building/dwelling, and equipment.

We have extensive expertise working with insurance carriers at the outset of an accident or within the course of an insurance claim.
Our specialty is structural, and we cover a wide variety of applications that include automotive, heavy trucks and trailers, buildings, warehouses, and some residential applications.
Insurance Claims Process
- Collect contact information for the adjuster and the claim information.
- The adjuster will provide us with a list of specific information so they can determine if the property is considered repairable or a total loss.
- If the property is considered repairable, the adjuster will often use our estimate to issue funds. Or our estimate will assist an independent adjustor.
- Once funds are received, materials and/or parts are ordered (if not already in stock).
- We’ll schedule repairs and provide updates along the way.

Buildings, Warehouses, and Storage Facilities
Warehouses and facilities can be extremely large spaces with hundreds of material handling equipment or personnel constantly on the move. Accidents happen!
- Backing into a structural object, support column, and barriers
- Trucks entering a loading dock backing into steel bollards.
OSHA requires a variety of protective guards around racking systems, support beams, and identified lanes for pedestrian walkways. If you’re starting up a new facility, LucasMWF fabricates, paints, and installs barriers.
If a barrier has become damaged from an incident, insurance-related or not, we have the equipment to rebuild and repair it. If your structural repairs are building-related, houseboat-related, industrial, or construction related, we’re equipped to bring our mobile shop to you.
Industrial, Construction, and Agricultural Equipment
Tennessee ground can be unforgiving! There have been many cases where jackhammer ears, excavation buckets, and auger shafts break.
- Tractors colliding with boulders
- Excavators backing into a bulldozer
- Forklift attachments becoming damaged from mishandling
When a machine is down, repair time is critical. We value your time and will make the repair process as convenient as possible. Depending on the type of machine (whether it’s movable):
- You can deliver it to our facility
- We can pick it up and transport it for you
- Our mobile operations team will perform on-site repair

Tractor Trailers, Straight Trucks, Service Vehicles, and Box Trucks
Overweight loads and negligent material handling processes are a leader in truck frames, box walls, and flooring damages.
Larger vehicles are held to a higher standard in safety as damage claims typically cost much more than a standard automobile loss. The Department of Transportation performs periodic safety checks and when a structural issue is discovered, they have the authority to stop business.
When this happens, we recognize the situation and respond quickly with the repairs to get you back on track. Your time is valuable, and downtime is costly.
Car, Truck, and Automotive
This refers to vehicles that are a “body-on-frame” such as most pickups, larger SUVs, and service vehicles.
Many body shops will operate within the guidelines of an insurance carrier and a vehicle can be determined as a total loss. When this happens, you have the option to purchase the vehicle back from the insurance carrier (usually at the cost of auction value).
Some vehicles hold sentimental value and when most body shops are unwilling to attempt a frame correction, LucasMWF will assess the possibility of repair. In some cases, we remove a section of the frame and install a replacement. In other cases, we may recondition the frame and install a patch or sleeve to improve the structural integrity of the frame.
What about rusty, perforated, or deteriorated frames?
Yes, we will help with those cases. We will repair most frames with missing sections, significant holes, or cracks. Once we remove any parts blocking the frame area(s), we thoroughly clean and prepare the frame for reconditioning, replacement, or modifications. Once we correct the structural concerns, we tend to offer an undercoating preservation service.
Boats, including Houseboats
Aluminum and steel skin boats experience tears and perforations either by accident or deterioration from age.
- Transom issues on flat-bottom fishing boats
- Leaking pontoons
- Rusty houseboat skins
- Damaged scags and boat hulls
We’re able to clear up most issues to you can get back on the water safely. Whether it’s self-funded or through your insurance provider.
Recreational Vehicles, Campers, Toy Haulers, and Skoolies
Many of our customers love the outdoors and traveling, and much like tractors and trailers, lots of these vehicles or campers spend hours putting on the miles passing through Middle Tennessee.
- Objects entering the roadway
- Unseen potholes
- Unforeseen breakage from harsh road conditions
When this happens, your recreational vehicles are stranded on the side of the road until a mobile repair or tow company arrives.
Tennessee Height Restriction
Tennessee has a height restriction of 13’6” and many modern campers are designed close to that height. Camper height plus tow height is usually above Tennessee’s restriction.
This means vehicles or campers cannot be towed. There are limited exceptions with certain types of campers; however, most are subject to roadside assistance.
Practicing Roadside Safety
Not all breakdowns happen in a safe location. We practice safety at every opportunity and can assist with relocation to a safer place for the repairs to begin. If the incident is insurance related, we’re able to take all the preliminary photos, include them in the estimate, and provide that information to an adjuster while we’re there onsite. Situations like these can be stressful, so we try to make the repairs swift so you can get back to your adventure.
